WELCOME!
"Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. It doesn’t matter. Our is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again, come, come.” - Rumi

Why "Gratitude Riffs" now?
In the summer of 2020, amidst the Pandemic, Racial and Environmental crisis, I asked myself how I could help, how I could be useful to myself and others, and what had helped me more than anything else. The answer was clear – GRATITUDE. And gratitude is simply one of those things that needs to be shared.
As for RIFFS, it feels playful and inviting enough to encourage the creative energy to flow from others and myself. And that is what I hope happens. |
What is Gratitude to Me
Being Thankful
Pausing to notice what we take for granted
A positive emotion available to all
A skill, a virtue and an attitude
A healing energy
A state of being
A spiritual practice
All of these and more
The experience of gratitude can be transforming.
It is quite magical in that is can change you on the spot or over a long period.

"Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you will include all things in your gratitude." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Organizing the blog - I am organizing the blog by themes such as effort, ancestry, dogs and other topics near and dear to my heart. Gratitude weaves its way through all the stories.
